mKardz was an iOS app I helped write for a BeMyApp weekend hackathon. It prints & mails personalized greeting cards. The idea behind it was that you’d take a picture of a handwritten note using your iPhone, select a greeting card background, and finally a recipient. The picture is uploaded to a backend, vectorized, and sent to a plotter. The plotter has a ballpoint pen attached, so the greeting card ends up looking like it was handwritten.
We actually demoed this at the end of the weekend.
